You are invited to learn more about Wisconsin’s labor force and participate in an important strategic exercise that will help create significant workforce development policies.

Competitive Wisconsin, Inc., the Wisconsin Higher Education Business Roundtable and select sponsors are hosting the 2012 Wisconsin Economic Summit Series. The series will bring together leaders from business, labor, education and organizations from around the state and will build on data collected by the recent study BE BOLD 2: Growing Wisconsin’s Talent Pool*. This significant strategic policy initiative will serve as the focal point for Executive and Legislative briefings in 2013.

 

The half-day session will feature prestigious speakers, substantive presentations and conversations including:

  • BE BOLD 2 report highlights from Executive Committee Members, including Dr. Linda Salchenberger, Associate Provost, Marquette University;
  • Statewide perspectives from administration leaders such as Ryan Murray, COO of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation;
  • Featured luncheon speaker, Jonas Prising, Executive Vice President and President of The Americas, ManpowerGroup, who will provide international and national perspectives on workforce development, and what Wisconsin needs in order to compete in today’s ever-changing workforce and economy; and
  • Governor Scott Walker has been invited to provide his workforce and economic development focus and/or priorities for the next legislative session.
