Program 2
GROWING NEW BUSINESS WITH GOVERNMENT CONTRACTING

If you have been considering diversifying into government contracting, this workshop will give you the insight you need.  The federal government buys pretty much anything – from military vehicles and plumbing services, to office furniture and IT support.  Over the last two years, every county in Wisconsin has recorded sales to the Federal government, including agencies such as the USDA, Department of Veterans Affairs, and Department of Defense.  There are also wide-ranging opportunities to sell to the State of Wisconsin and to subcontract.  Join us to get a detailed understanding of the government marketplace, and tips on selling your goods/services to Uncle Sam.

Topics
- How the government marketplace differs from the commercial sector
- Federal contracting

- State contracting
- Subcontracting
- Tips on selling products and services to Uncle Sam
- How to navigate government websites, registrations, and small business programs
- Finding opportunities in the government sector
- Marketing your certification
- Resources available to small businesses pursuing the government market
