Corporate and Individual Buyers Sought for Annual Junior Livestock Auction

Annual event features Waukesha County Executive and Honorary 2019 Fair Marshal

Waukesha, WI -- The Waukesha County Fair Association will host the annual County Executive & Fair Marshal’s Junior Livestock Auction on Friday, July 19 at 6 pm in the Livestock Show & Sale Tent on the Fairgrounds. This popular event is seeking corporate and individual buyers to make a monetary investment in the purchase of an animal during the event, sponsored by ARR, Inc.

About the Livestock Auction:
Individual and corporate buyers must register in the Livestock Show & Sale Tent before the start of the auction. Assistance will be available to learn the pre- and post-auction processes. The Waukesha County Fair can assist in the resale of the animal, with the buyer paying only the difference between the bid price and the actual market price.

The Livestock Auction is a culmination of a year’s worth of work by committed 4-H exhibitors, who prepare their steer, swine, lamb, goat, poultry, or rabbit for showing and sale. Proceeds from the Livestock Auction go directly to the 4-H participants, many of whom direct the funds toward college expenses. This is an excellent opportunity to support 4-H and the potential future leaders of Waukesha County. This year’s Fair Marshal, Bob Stigler, will be recognized at the beginning of the auction for his involvement and impact on the Fair.

About the 2019 Waukesha County Fair Marshal, Bob Stigler
Robert “Bob” Stigler has been active with the Waukesha County Fair for more than three decades and began his involvement when his children began showing at the Fair. In addition to volunteering with his children, Bob was Fair Board President from 2006 to 2008. After stepping down as President, Bob stayed active as a member of the Fair’s security committee and worked directly with the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department to ensure the safety of fairgoers. He has also been inducted into the Wisconsin Association of Fairs Hall of Fame for his service and dedication to the Waukesha County Fair. Additionally, Bob is instrumental in coordinating the Antique Tractor Tent annually at the Fair, bringing in many of his own tractors for the display. He has donated both financially and physically to the Fair for many years and has assisted the Fair in so many ways. Bob has passed his love of the Fair through generations and has grandchildren who are active in the Fair exhibiting in all areas –through livestock and competitive exhibits. Bob lives with his wife on their farm in Waukesha and continues to be an incredible advocate for the Fair each year.
