Heading to Sheboygan to team up with Michigan-based Rockford Construction
Brookfield, WI (June 18, 2018) – Lemberg is awarded the electrical construction for the new Meijer Store in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. The project, under Rockford Construction, Inc. out of Michigan, is the sixth Meijer Store in Wisconsin that Lemberg will complete.
“We’re excited to work with Rockford Construction again on another Meijer location,” said Pat Antkowski, vice president for construction at Lemberg. “We’re very familiar with Meijer and with Rockford’s expectations for timelines for its stores.”
Lemberg’s electrical construction and data communications teams will plan and install the electrical and low voltage systems following United States Green Building Council (USGBC) technical specifications for LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) at the Sheboygan store location. The LEED rating system is widely accepted in the building community and measures flexibility, sustainability, soil and erosion management, scheduling, safety, conservation, and site cleanliness.
“Our team is looking forward to working on this sound and communication project for Meijer,” said Ernie Garza, data communication team manager at Lemberg. “This is a great opportunity for us to lay the groundwork for an expanded relationship with both Meijer and Rockford.”
Lemberg brings to this project deep expertise and process knowledge from working on the other Meijer Store locations in the region. Lemberg’s electrical construction and data communications teams will work with Rockford Construction to find efficiencies in the electrical work, prefab and low voltage cabling. The teams will schedule technicians around other trades to meet the general contractor’s timeline, while staying as unobtrusive toward the surrounding businesses as possible.
The new store is in Sheboygan’s Memorial Mall, 3347 Kohler Memorial Drive, and will include a gas station, drive-up pharmacy, and garden center. It is expected to be completed in 2019.
