Lemberg designated a Platinum Level Trade Ally
Company saves customers over $112K in state’s Focus on Energy Business Program

Brookfield, WI (April 4, 2018) – Lemberg has earned the Platinum Level Trade Ally designation from Wisconsin’s Focus on Energy Business Program. This is the highest designation in the statewide program which is run by Wisconsin utilities. The program provides incentives to energy customers who choose energy efficient and renewable solutions. Lemberg’s service team facilitates the incentive program on behalf of its customers, who have saved a total of $112,098.93 in incentives in 2017.

“Our customers directly benefit from this incentive program,” says Tim Hagen, service manager for Lemberg and facilitator of the Focus on Energy (FOE) program at Lemberg. “We manage the details for the customer. All they have to do is provide some information and we take care of the rest.”

Lemberg facilitates the program primarily for their commercial and industrial customers and will soon be assisting institutions of education as well. Hagen says that the program results in a greater return-on-investment for his business customers and lowers their overall project costs. The savings earned are delivered to the customers directly via refund check from Wisconsin Energy.

According to the Focus on Energy website, the program has saved Wisconsin energy business customers nearly $18 million in energy costs, a result of efforts to empower Wisconsin businesses to make smart energy decisions. There are 108 participating electric and natural gas utilities in Wisconsin earning for their customers nearly $5 for every $1 spent in the program.

The program and the resulting energy savings will have a lasting effect on the state’s economy and natural resources. Eliminating energy waste removes the need to purchase coal or natural gas from other states, keeping the money in Wisconsin and lessening the need for additional power plants.
