MEDIA DEMONSTRATION OF 911 PRECISION LOCATION TECHNOLOGY FROM SMARTPHONES IN WAUKESHA COUNTY

(WAUKESHA, WI) – On Wednesday, September 26, members of the media are invited to the Waukesha County Communications (WCC) Center for a demonstration of new software that will allow Waukesha County 911 Dispatchers to pinpoint extremely accurate locations of 911 smartphone calls. WCC will be one of the first 911 dispatch centers in the nation to utilize precision location technology for 911 mobile calls.

About the Waukesha County Communications Center
The Waukesha County Communications Center (WCC) is the largest Public Service Answering Point (PSAP) in Waukesha County. WCC answers all wireless 911 calls for the County, most non-emergency calls, and provides dispatch services for 32 of Waukesha County’s 37 municipalities.
