New Berlin equipment issues affecting the reporting of unofficial election results from District 2, Wards 4-7

 PRESS RELEASE – WAUKESHA COUNTY CLERK’S OFFICE
 
 
On election night, the City of New Berlin’s District 2 equipment experience a malfunction.
 
Shortly after the New Berlin Community Center poll site closed, they found that they were unable to transmit the results to the Waukesha County Clerk’s Office.  This affected Wards 4-7.    
 
It was determined that re-feeding all ballots at that poll site was necessary to ensure all ballots were correctly counted.
 
The Waukesha County Clerk’s Office prepared and delivered new memory sticks to the New Berlin City Hall.  The Deputy County Clerk and another staff member also brought two County election machines to expedite the re-feeding of the ballots.  After all ballots had been re-fed, the results were successfully transmit the results to the Waukesha County Clerk’s Office.
 
All Waukesha County unofficial election results are now on the Waukesha County website – www.waukeshacounty.gov.   
 
This was a challenging effort but everyone worked as a unit.  The ultimate result was a successful election that reflected the total commitment of all Waukesha County election officials in ensuring the integrity of all elections.
