Old World Foundation Announces 2018 Funding fro Old World Wisconsin
Eagle, WI---Old World Foundation recently held its Annual Meeting where it announced that it has gifted Old World Wisconsin with $91,531.53 this past fiscal year (October 1, 2017-September 30, 2018). In addition to the monetary gifts that have already been awarded to Old World Wisconsin, Old World Foundation holds over $150,000.00 that is currently available for Old World Wisconsin to use for specific projects and programs in the coming year. Dan Freas, Old World Wisconsin Director, stated "With the Foundation’s help, we are successfully blending our educational mission with proven entertainment concepts and a high standard for customer service." He went on to say that the numerous projects and programs supported by the Foundation enabled the Old World Wisconsin team to provide an exceptional experience for their guests. Old World Foundation was founded in 1984 to raise money to support projects and programs at Old World Wisconsin that cannot be funded through their operating budget. Keeping history relevant by supporting historic preservation, the heritage breed animals, the heirloom gardens, collections, programming and more, is important for future generations. At the Annual Meeting, Terry Dignan, Old World Foundation Board Chair, thanked those in attendance and stated that the Foundation could not fulfill its mission of support, without the financial assistance from the many people who value this dynamic historic attraction. Although the season at Old World Wisconsin is wrapping up for this year, there are many family-friendly, interactive experiences planned for 2019. Whether you want to ride a high-wheeled tricycle, gather eggs, wash clothes, churn butter, swing a historic baseball bat, learn about historic beer brewing or use historic gardening tools in the many gardens, there is fun for everyone!
