ProHealth Care Donates Life-Saving AED units to Old World Wisconsin

Eagle, WI---Recognizing the potential need for life-saving therapy at Old World Wisconsin in Eagle, ProHealth Care donated three new Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) through Old World Foundation. These units provide a powerful combination of features that help rescuers provide sudden cardiac arrest victims with swift, effective and life-saving therapy. This was truly a community effort since the units were purchased through the Eagle Fire Department.

Dan Freas, Old World Wisconsin Director, stated that the nearly 70,000 people who visit Old World Wisconsin annually from all over the world will benefit from the availability of these units. Old World Foundation had been working to secure this donation through other entities, but when ProHealth Care was contacted, they were happy to support this request. For more than a century, ProHealth Care has been the health care leader in Waukesha County and surrounding areas, providing outstanding care across a full spectrum of services. “We deeply appreciate ProHealth Care’s commitment to the community,” said Gwen Griffin, Executive Director of Old World Foundation.

The staff at Old World Wisconsin is looking forward to opening weekend, May 5 and 6. Named as one of the “Top 10 History Attractions in the United States” by Family Tree Magazine, Old World Wisconsin offers an interactive experience for all visitors. Whether you want to ride a high-wheeled tricycle, gather eggs, wash clothes, churn butter, swing a historic baseball bat or learn about historic beer brewing, there is fun for everyone!
