This year, for the 26th time, the most innovative companies of German SMEs will be awarded the TOP 100 seal. For the second time in succession, Felss Systems GmbH also made the leap into the innovation elite and is therefore one of the innovation leaders in 2019. In an independent selection process, the company was particularly convincing in the category “Open Innovation/External orientation”.
Founded more than one hundred years ago, Felss Systems GmbH, as part of the Felss Group, has developed into Germany's leading supplier in the field of cold forming technology. The medium-sized company headquartered in Königsbach-Stein develops innovations, technologies and Industry 4.0 solutions with a focus on the automotive industry. The TOP 100 company, which specializes in forming technology, is currently working on building up a second area of operation - namely the inspection and maintenance of the production lines of tomorrow.
Andreas Egelseder, CMTO of the Felss Group, strives for zero-defect production in the production of industrial products. Communicating machines should make this possible. What sounds like a vision of the future, could soon become reality thanks to the machine builders of the top innovator. While the engineers are working on the implementation of innovative technologies and solutions, Egelseder is already developing further ideas. For him, there is no question that the vision of communicating production units will become real in the foreseeable future. "And when the time comes, we already want to be there," emphasizes the CMTO of the Felss Group.
In order to be up to date with the latest technology and the know-how of tomorrow, the top innovator cooperates with universities and research institutes, among others. However, Felss owes its ability to innovate not least to an excellent working atmosphere. Variable compensation models, a structured proposal system and targeted personnel development measures ensure that employees can exploit their creative potential. Moreover, the development of successful product and service innovations also requires close and lasting exchange with customers.
