About the Community Health Improvement Plan and Process (CHIPP)
Every 5 years the Public Health Division of the Waukesha County Department of Health & Human Services conducts a Community Health Improvement Plan and Process (CHIPP). This is a national, comprehensive approach to assess community health, develop and implement action plans to improve community health, and monitor results. In a CHIPP, “health” is defined broadly and to include such matters as physical health, mental health, and environmental health.
