WAUKESHA COUNTY EXECUTIVE CELEBRATES ARBOR DAY WITH TREE PLANTING AT MOOR DOWNS GOLF COURSE

(Waukesha, WI) – Join Waukesha County Executive Paul Farrow on Friday, April 27 at 9:00 a.m. to celebrate Arbor Day. The planting of a tree on Moor Downs Golf Course will continue the Moor Downs’ 100 Trees Program tradition and kicks off Saturday’s volunteer tree planting events.

Moor Downs’ 100 Trees Program
Waukesha County is committed to planting 100 trees on the Moor Downs Golf Course through the 100 Trees Program that started in 2015 during the golf course’s Centennial. The new trees will replace trees that have been lost over the years due to old age, weather events, or disease.
 
Arbor Day Volunteer Event
The Waukesha County Park System is hosting a large-scale volunteer tree planting event on Saturday, April 28 from 9 a.m. to noon in Fox River Park. Residents and groups are invited to help reforest and enhance the park. Fox River Park is located at W264S4500 River Rd., Waukesha.
