WCTC’s Center for Business Performance Solutions changes name to Corporate Training Center

January 25, 2018
PEWAUKEE, Wis. (Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018) – Waukesha County Technical College’s Center for Business Performance Solutions has a new name – Corporate Training Center (CTC) – to better reflect the business training it offers employers and employees of small, medium and large businesses within Waukesha County.

WCTC has offered comprehensive corporate training for the past 30 years, but according to Russ Roberts, executive director for both the CTC and the College’s Small Business Center, the coming months will be focused on developing new programming to continue to move businesses forward.

“CTC will be laser-focused on creating a series of new training workshops with defined learning pathways that lead to competency-based credentialing,” Roberts said. “Opportunities will consist of new, innovative customized contract training that help corporate customers gain a competitive edge through workforce training, leadership and continuous improvement along with other critical challenges; and tapping into the vast resources of a community-focused technical college ready to bring the best-of-the-best training expertise into the corporate classroom.”

The CTC’s goals are to provide training that fits with employer needs, based on schedules, topics (for example -- process improvement, strategy, leadership and talent management), locations and overall programming.

“The business community needs the right training, at the right price, at the right time, delivered by the right training expert.  That’s exactly what we will deliver.  No compromises,” Roberts said.
